To promote trade and international cooperation, the Ministry of international relations of the Udmurt Republic organizes both trade missions to other countries for the local businesses and visits of foreign delegations to Udmurtia.
A target country for a visit is selected, when a sufficient number of local companies express an interest in establishing close economic ties. Such interest may comprise purchase of equipment, export of products or realization of investment projects. The Ministry takes responsibility for all travel and accommodation issues and business schedule of the visit. If necessary, we request a Russian Embassy or a Russian trade representation to render assistance.
Thus, there were successfully organized business missions to USA, Turkey (in cooperation with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce), Syria, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and other countries.
If requested, the Ministry also provides necessary support - from hotel reservation to business meetings - to the business visitors to Udmurtia from other countries, if such a visit contributes to the development of local economy and international cooperation. Many large business teams and representatives of foreign private companies already took advantage of that.
The most important event in 2003 was a visit of a large German delegation, patronized by the German Ministry of economy. During the visit German businessmen learnt a lot about local business opportunities, attended the presentation of Udmurtia, visited local companies and met their possible clients and partners.

Business and trade missions
