To assist the companies of Udmurtia and utilize valuable international experience, the Ministry of international relations of the Udmurt Republic employs opportunities provided by international consultancy programs - NMCP, BESO, KESO.
NMCP experts has been visiting Udmurtia since 1995. NMCP stands for Netherlands Management Cooperation Program, an independent organization which sends senior advisers - who generally are retired or have taken early retirement - to companies and institutions in other countries, including Eastern Europe. NMCP has senior advisers available in virtually every area of agriculture, industry and commerce, but also in the field of health care, management and government services. Their working history enables them to provide support to companies and institutions with their knowledge and experience. Often they are familiar with the type of companies to which they are sent as advisers. NMCP now operates in more than 80 countries. Some 3,000 senior advisers are registered with the program. Some 1300 missions are handled each year. NMCP is financed by the Dutch government, the European Union and the largest Dutch employers' organization VNO-NCW. A local private or state operation, which is independent and works along business lines, can call upon NMCP. The company asking for an adviser picks up the local costs, such as accommodation, cost of living, transport and office facilities. NMCP pays the travel and other costs for sending out the experts. NMCP decides the length of the mission in consultation with the company involved and the adviser; the average is three to seven weeks. Often there is a second visit, termed the follow-up mission. After the mission, many experts continue to provide support to the company they have advised for a while from the Netherlands. In addition to the above, NMCP provides seminars and training courses in the countries where it develops activities. Apart from advising companies and institutions abroad, NMCP also organizes courses for management personnel in the Netherlands. Through the Business Link Program, entrepreneurs receive support in getting in touch with Dutch business.
