  Izhevsk business club

For better contacts with the local business community the Ministry of international relations of the Udmurt Republic promoted the organization of the Izhevsk business club (IBC).

Its foundation session took place in January 2000. From the very beginning IBC organization has been supported by De Baak Management Centrum VNO-NCW (Netherlands). At first, participants of various international training programs, including De Baak training program participants, became IBC members. But since that other people have been signing in with no restrictions. Currently, among the IBC members there are private entrepreneurs, managers of large and small, state and private companies, lawyers, an editor of a magazine, psychologists, financial experts, civil servants, etc.

The main objective of the Izhevsk business club is to provide its members assistance in business, upgrade theirs personal skills and expertise. Being a member opens access to the valuable knowledge and experience of other business club members and helps to find solutions to many problems. But what is more important, IBC gives people an opportunity to meet each other, communicate and exchange opinions.

Regular IBC sessions take place once a month. The agenda is developed in advance and not necessarily consists of serious business discussions. Within IBC its members learn English, organize social events (e.g. New Year party). The Izhevsk business club also invites outside experts for the seminars and presentations.

In 2002, thanks to the support of De Baak, Dutch experts visited Izhevsk twice to offer their seminars on management and other business issues. In October 2003 IBC hosted another Dutch expert with the seminar on creativity and organized a number of other trainings for its members on the issues of psychology, WTO, taxation, etc. In February 2004, several Izhevsk business club representatives traveled to Ekaterinburg to take part in a joint seminar "Resentation skills".

IBC maintains contacts with other business clubs in Russia and hopes to expand its interregional and international relations.

The Izhevsk business club is open for cooperation and welcomes new members and partners.
